Himalayan blue poppy is a perennial poppy grown high in the Himalayan mountains, liking the cold winters, warm summers, and partial shade. This is a difficult poppy to grow in suburban backyards, as they are quite temperamental.

In 1997 I bought my first Canon camera and started taking pictures of the wildlife around me. Weekends would find me out with my camera taking pictures of anything that caught my eye, especially the egrets and herons that lived near me.
