This photo was taken in Iceland of the Northern Lights. The weather there had been really unstable for two weeks with no Northern Lights visible. The night we were scheduled to go out, the weather had finally cleared and the Northern Lights were predicted to be a 9 out of 10 on a scale of visibility. It was a spectacular site! This was the "dancing lights", which to me looked like God was just using a paint brush in the sky making these broad strokes. It was an incredible experience!
In 1997 I bought my first Canon camera and started taking pictures of the wildlife around me. Weekends would find me out with my camera taking pictures of anything that caught my eye, especially the egrets and herons that lived near me. Photography was new to me, but learned along the way on my journey with my new camera. As a self-taught photographer, I am always learning new techniques.
