I love giraffes! They are such sweet, gentle graceful animals. We met this one on a trip to Costa Rica where we visited a private game farm called "Little Africa". Visitors can see many species of exotic, non lethal animals in a native habitat. I was fortunate to feed some giraffes sweet potatoes on a different trip to a different game farm. It was a wonderful experience that I treasure!
In 1997 I bought my first Canon camera and started taking pictures of the wildlife around me. Weekends would find me out with my camera taking pictures of anything that caught my eye, especially the egrets and herons that lived near me. Photography was new to me, but learned along the way on my journey with my new camera. As a self-taught photographer, I am always learning new techniques.
