The "Hand of Fatima" is an Islamic symbol to commemorate Fatima Zahra, daughter of the Prophet Muhammad and wife of Hazrat Ali. It is said to ward off evil spirits, and bring good luck, protection, good health and abundance. Something we can all use.

In 1997 I bought my first Canon camera and started taking pictures of the wildlife around me. Weekends would find me out with my camera taking pictures of anything that caught my eye, especially the egrets and herons that lived near me. Photography was new to me, but learned along the way on my journey with my new camera. As a self-taught photographer, I am always learning new techniques. It’s a wonderful medium to be able to share with others how I see the world. I will never take for granted all the wonder and beauty that surrounds me every day!
