This aloe plant at Yves St. Laurant's Majorelle Garden in Marrakech Morocco was soothing to the eye with it's cool bluish color and thick leaves, even though it was edged with reddish brown spikes.

In 1997 I bought my first Canon camera and started taking pictures of the wildlife around me. Weekends would find me out with my camera taking pictures of anything that caught my eye, especially the egrets and herons that lived near me. Photography was new to me, but learned along the way on my journey with my new camera. As a self-taught photographer, I am always learning new techniques. It’s a wonderful medium to be able to share with others how I see the world. I will never take for granted all the wonder and beauty that surrounds me every day!
