About Laurie Lago Rispoli

Laurie Lago Rispoli In 1997 I bought my first Canon camera and started taking pictures of the wildlife around me. Weekends would find me out with my camera taking pictures of anything that caught my eye, especially the egrets and herons that lived near me. Photography was new to me, but I learned along the way on my journey with my new camera. As a self-taught photographer, I am always learning new techniques. It's a wonderful medium to be able to share with others how I see the world. I will never take for granted all the wonder and beauty that surrounds me every day!

When photographing nature, I strive to capture all the grace, honesty, spirit and purity it shows me, so that it will open the viewers eyes to look beyond the obvious and instead look at the innate beauty of each living thing. That is what brings me so much joy.

At The Beauty of Creation my hope is that my photography will touch the viewers heart, and instill in them the need to reach out on their own to protect and care for all the nature that is around them, even if it's with only a small garden in their yard. Without our wildlife, we too will cease to exist. We are all part of the same ecosystem. It is a delicate balance we all need to maintain.

We have but one life to live, let us live it fully in love and respect for all living things.

Laurie Lago Rispoli lives in the lower Hudson Valley with her husband Joe, where she enjoys their historic home, a beautiful garden that encourages wildlife to come and linger, along with their family and friends.
