The Sahara desert is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. I would not have expected that to be my reaction, until I was there and saw its vast beauty. Miles and miles of orange sand against the backdrop of blue sky. Just breathtaking!

In 1997 I bought my first Canon camera and started taking pictures of the wildlife around me. Weekends would find me out with my camera taking pictures of anything that caught my eye, especially the egrets and herons that lived near me. Photography was new to me, but learned along the way on my journey with my new camera. As a self-taught photographer, I am always learning new techniques. It’s a wonderful medium to be able to share with others how I see the world. I will never take for granted all the wonder and beauty that surrounds me every day!
